My client had a second row 1970s beach cottage. We initially walked through the home and discussed how the layout and exterior appearance could be modernized. This is where the full team came to the fore. We discussed our initial thoughts with Hammerhead Custom Builders. It was determined the cottage was too far-gone and it would be more cost effective to raze the house and build anew.
With the cottage situated on a tight corner lot, we decided to make use of the airspace and went vertical with the new design. We made sure the in-ground pool would be an integral part of the ground level. We designed an open floor plan home with 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. Both the first and second floors each have their own central gathering spaces. The ground floor level has covered outside seating just steps from the pool.
